See you at the Southern Alberta Velocity Showcase?
There’s no shortage and programs and support for fast-growing and emerging Alberta tech startups. For example, Alberta Catalyzer is a program that supports startup founders working towards three key milestones: building and testing the first version of their MVP; developing communication and selling strategies, and refining their product with their customers; and creating scalable systems and processes to help accelerate their business.
Alberta Catalyzer is part of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program, led by Alberta Innovates, as part of a consortium that includes the province’s ministry of Jobs, Economy and Innovation, Edmonton Unlimited, the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund and Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan). The group’s ambitious goal: create 20,000 jobs and increase technology firm revenue to $5 billion by 2030.
On March 7, we’ll get the chance to see they're progress at the Alberta Catalyzer Velocity Showcase. There, the following 10 startups from Southern Alberta will pitch on stage at the Platform Innovation Centre:
Boris Walks Alone Inc. - technical and marketing expertise.
Calefy - lead intake solution.
Menu Mandala - community food delivery service.
Plunge Audio Inc. - universal-fit in-ear monitors.
Strato Earth - cloud-based SaaS for processing, visualizing, and sharing geospatial data.
The Virtual Market - online market of local vendors.
Voto - digital marketing campaign planning tool.
Wave View Imaging - breast imaging medical device.
Wilma Technologies Inc. - women-driving women membership ride service platform.
Zaia Health - smart disease management platform.
The free event is meant to be a celebration and showcase and an opportunity to meet with Alberta Catalyzer team members and participating founders. Calgary Tech Journal will be there. Will you?
