45 top speakers converging on Calgary for tech symposium
A two-day Alberta conference to showcase leading people and organizations in AI, IoT, and other emerging technologies.

Digital technologies are the answer to some of our world's greatest challenges. And the technology ecosystems developing homegrown innovation will not only earn themselves a place amongst the world's leading tech hubs, but will also secure their community’s economic and social future.
To that end, next month, the Alberta Technology Symposium is meant to spotlight and showcase the province’s technology sector. Taking palace in Calgary at the Grand Theatre, the two-day event will showcase leading people and organizations in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain – innovations that will be at the heart of a diversified economy.
As part of the Symposium, there will be more than 45 executive speakers attending from a range of organizations including Fuse, Luxor, Thin Air Labs, SVG Ventures, Binance, Lawcubator, AltaML, and Startup TNT.

An inspiration gala for good
In addition to a slate of expert speakers, the Symposium will host its third annual gala, this year in support of the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation.
Organizers are hoping to raise $20,000 to fund BCI home kits and other equipment that allows children to practice using the technology in activities that matter to them.
This year's gala will also include its first-ever awards ceremony, celebrating the technology ecosystem's most talented and innovative companies.
