UpRow, Voto and MI Toolbox win women in tech pitch competition

UpRow, Voto, and MI Toolbox earned top honours at a recently held BIPOC Women Founders in Pitch Night. Hosted by Innovate Calgary, the event was meant to help BIPOC women founders grow their network and get the funding and support they need to drive their businesses forward.

The winning founders were Kelise Williams (UpRow), Ange Paye (Voto), and Alicia Nahmad (MI Toolbox).

The event was sponsored by Alberta Innovates, Prairies Economic Development Canada, Mindfuel, and the Huskayne School of Business. The event also featured a slate of local partners including the Calgary Innovation Coalition, The51 and Startup TNT.

The three other presenting companies were Prasanthi Naidoo from Joberfer.com, Ranique Mclaughlin from Hidden Gemz, and Sheena Virmani from LEWK.
