Last week, the Toronto Stock Exchange released its annual list of top-ranking stocks, and Calgary companies came out on top. Now in its sixth year, the TSX30 highlights companies based on dividend-adjusted share price performance over a three-year period.

It’s been a big year for the natural resource sector. The oil and gas, industrial products and services, and mining sectors make up the majority of this year’s ranking, with 25 of the 30 companies listed fitting into that bracket.

Calgary companies dominated the list, with a full fifteen of the 2024 TSX30 companies calling the city home:

Several of the companies included in this year’s ranking have been listed previously on the TSX30 — NuVista Energy, MEG Energy, and ARC Resources are now in their third consecutive year.
