Calgary-based Neo Financial is teaming up with United Airlines to launch the United MileagePlus Neo World Elite Mastercard, a co-branded credit card launching in April that turns everyday spending into travel rewards with what the companies describe as the world's largest airline. The card offers priority boarding, a free checked bag, and access to more than 380 destinations across six continents.

The card combines Neo Financial's real-time rewards platform with United's loyalty program. Cardmembers earn extra miles when booking flights on United and Star Alliance carriers and can redeem miles for travel with any Star Alliance airline. They also get access to Neo's network of over 10,000 local and national partners across Canada where they can earn accelerated miles.

Chief Commercial Officer and co-founder Jeff Adamson says the partnership brings more value to Canadian travellers.

"The United MileagePlus Neo World Elite Mastercard will add a powerful new option for Canadians who want to turn everyday effort into meaningful travel rewards," he said.

The first 3,000 customers to join the waitlist will receive an additional 5,000 bonus miles on top of the standard welcome offer when they activate the card. All new cardmembers receive a welcome offer. The waitlist is now open at Neo Financial's website.
